1834 SocietySmaller Text | Bigger Text

The 1834 Society began as a group of volunteers committed to preserving Rockford’s rich heritage. The tradition and commitment to preservation and education remain steadfast. Over the years, support of this distinguished group of benefactors has been essential as Midway Village Museum has grown from the first seven acres, donated by the Severin Family, to the current 137 acres, twenty-six historic buildings, and a 55,000 square foot museum center.  Your support as a member of the 1834 Society will enable us to continue to research, explore and preserve the rich repositories of artifacts and archival materials in our community, offer unique and exciting educational programming for children as well as adults,
and continue our tradition of excellence.
