Camp Grant Collection

Midway Village Museum is seeking stories about the Army cantonment Camp Grant that operated just south of Rockford during both World Wars. The camp was also used by the Illinois National Guard and the Civilian Conservation Corps.

How was your family impacted by Camp Grant? Perhaps a relative trained there, or was a civilian employee at the camp. Maybe your grandparents supplied the camp with food and goods, or your mother attended USO dances.
