Experience what the Prohibition Era was like in 1920s Rockford, Illinois!
Where: Midway Village Museum, 6799 Guilford Road, Rockford, IL
Visit the hidden speakeasies scattered throughout the village as you learn about the Prohibition Era in Rockford. Costumed interpreters and period re-enactors really bring the 1920s to life. There will be vintage cars, 1920s music, temperance marchers, bootleggers and distilling practices, gangsters, G-men, bank heists, and more! Don't miss it!
Many of our members and other visitors to this popular, annual Living History event also get into the act with their own 1920s garb, so feel free to join in. Of course, period clothing is optional, but always welcome!
